Josh is an Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in knee, hip and shoulder surgery.

He has a particular interest in robotic-assisted knee replacement surgery being involved in the technique since its introduction to the Australian market in 2017.

He is an early evaluator of Corin’s BalanceBot system using OMNIBotics and the Apex Total Knee System.

Prior to joining Corin’s evaluation team, Josh was part of Smith and Nephew’s early market release of the Navio system where he provided education and training to existing and prospective Navio users in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.

Josh uses the Direct Anterior Approach in total hip replacement surgery, routinely using the OPS pre-operative planning tool to gain greater insights into each patients functional spinopelvic anatomy.

As a sportsman himself, he has a keen interest in the treatment of sporting injuries with a focus on arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder. This includes ACL reconstruction, multi-ligament knee injuries, meniscal repair and arthroscopic treatment of rotator cuff tears and shoulder instability.

Josh has a public appointment at the Royal Hobart Hospital where he is involved in elective orthopaedics, trauma and training junior medical staff.

Outside of the operating theatre Josh is a father of two young boys and a keen road cyclist.
